Steve West was born 1943 in Warrington, UK and studied at The Liverpool College of Art (1965-1969), the Royal Academy Schools (1969-1972), and later at The British Academy in Rome. He won the Royal Academy Bronze Medal for Sculpture and the Rome Scholarship for Sculpture, later gaining a Fellowship to Exeter College of Art. Public Collections include Liverpool University and The British Academy in Rome. Exhibited with the Treadwell Gallery from 1977-1997.
